It's that time of year again to update the internet security and just wondering do we still need this? If so what's the best to go for? Currently with norton but at £64 just to update it's expensive. Any advice. Cheers.

May I ask who is charging you so much for Norton - coz they are overcharging you?

Do I need to delete the current norton?

No,

You just buy your selected version, then when you log into your norton account (I am assuming you are aware how to log into your 'My Norton?).

Once in, you have the option to buy or update using your code.

Alternatively, at the bottom of your Norton screen where you see days remaining, just cluck renew and follow the steps, but again, select update from code key you have.

Norton will then simply run as normal, after it tells you update accepted.

Norton etc seem to really slow down PC's

Have seen this on older PC's, but the newer versions seem to work a lot smoother / better with updated op systems for me.
Windows 10 updates on the other hand - what a real pita!!

If Microsoft continue down the route they are going - there is no reason for anyone to stay away from Apple.

As above, never buy direct, they do not look after loyal customers - a bit like insurance companies.

my time is split 50/50 between apple and MS - tbh I don't feel there is a lot of difference these days other than at the Apple hardware being better built and MS seem to be catching up there with stuff like surface studio etc

I think w10 works well for apple users as it s a lot more iOS like than previous MS operating systems

I used to be a real Anti Apple, but now MS is doing similar (with exception of platform stability and power management efficiency that Apple are superior at imho), I have to admire their customer service as well.

My daughter took her MB Pro to college, long story short - retina display got smashed, but Apple replaced it FOC, as it had a minute blemish on the screen.
The service guy said - even though it is recorded as cracked screen, it is to be replaced foc, as Apple deem it unacceptable for the coating to come off,.

£700 screen for nothing, no questions!
