Farm in north west NSW, Australia, near a town called Gunnedah.
All dryland ( ie rain grown, no irrigation ) cropping, on heavy deep black soil plains. Mainly zero - till, to conserve soil moisture.
Two growing seasons a year, "cool" season crops like wheat, chickpeas, barley etc, "warm" season crops such as cotton, Mung Beans, Sorghum, sunflower etc
Spent 3 yrs working on farms in the U.K. late 80's - early 90's, so I have a bit of an idea ( outdated probably ) of what goes on with you fellas
Main off farm interests are dirt bikes & adventure riding, bike trips into the desert, that sort of stuff

Hi I make and sell eco friendly products made purely from hemp. My interest in farming is I am looking for a bit of land to grow my own hemp. I am trying to make the world alittle but better Thank you for you reply

Horrible stuff to bale, hemp. I've baled hundreds of acres of it, right back to when you could first get a home office licence to grow it in 1992. It wraps on anything and wrecks bearings on machinery:(.
It's much more suited to dryer autumnal than we get.
