Hey @Kiwi Pete Don't know if this is the right thread to say this on or not but for what it's worth the herdsman on a farm we chop for told me he is moving to NZ this winter to do the same on a dairy down there. Failed to ask him whereabouts tho:banghead:

Hi my 10year old grand daughter lucy and myself wendy have been magnet fishing and love to clean up the ponds lakes rivers and streams of all sorts of things like cycles loads of scrap and even a farmers gate that had been vandalised and dumped in the river where a local farmers cows where drinking causing a danger to the cows so we recovered it and now the cattle can drink safely now, whatever we recover we recycle and dispose of properly.
Lucy is a very eco friendly child loves the outdoors and if she can make the world a little better she is happy, well anyway to get to the point we have just got a metal detector Time team inspired lucy to get into history of nottinghamshire and uk but we are finding it so hard to get permission we have been asking local farmers but it feels so wrong but I dont want lucy to learn bad practice and trespass she wants to do it the proper wayand we only need a little bit of land to ppractice on we will do any thing to help you in and around the farm if you want.
Thank ypu for reading this and if you can help us jyst a little that would be fantastic we are close to Newark on trent look forward to reading you posts thank you and have a nice day
