Welcome aboard.Hi from the Cotswolds.
I started with 10 sheep 10 years ago when I was at school now have 1100 dry ewe lambs and contract shepherd 450 mule ewes. I also do contact work on 2 big sheep farms. so I'm one of them people who seem to spent most of my life in the truck.
Welcome aboard. You'll soon get dragged inAfternoon from gloomy Kent!
Lurked for a while and seeing as my housemate seems to spend all evening browsing here I thought I'd join in...
Been working on an arable farm since graduating with an Agri-bus degree, but having recently hit 30 I decided I'd like something more than full time tractor jockeying so gave that up at new year.
Considering my options right now, whether to get a full time job in an agri related role or to try and develop something niche from my modest smallholding.
Welcome. You do realise that we Brits will expect to hear all about your side of the pond in return I hopeHello folks, just a 34 year old Canadian here who signed up because i was curious about how you do things across the atlantic. I own a small beef farm and work part time on a small dairy farm. I'm new to the dairy side of things and modern equipment (which you don't need much in beef).
Looking forward to learning new procedures, ideas, opinions & perspectives. Cheers!

Who said beef didn't need modem equipment?
I hope you have a decent sense of humour else the northern pose will drive you mad
Welcome aboard. Sorry to hear you've had such a TB calamity, You may have much to contribute to the TB threads.Hello all,
I stumbled into this forum via a google, and it's rather refreshing to read through (many of) the threads here.
There's a homebred flock producing prime lambs here, and some store cattle are bought in each year either to sell as forward, or to fatten following the loss of my closed homebred suckler herd to the dreaded TB. I also have a part-time job off-farm.
Cheers.
