Introducing our NEW bespoke Silocrab

Introducing our NEW bespoke Silocrab

Designed in conjunction with the team at Metcalfe Farms in North Yorkshire, I've desinged a bespoke product which efficiently collects up any left-over tmr from the feed passage before fresh ration is dispensed in front of the cows.

The machine was designed in Solidworks following lengthy discussions surrounding exactly what the team wanted to achieve.

After a few alterations we confirmed the specification and I got on and built it using our CAD n’ Cut service.

Previously, clearing up uneaten feed had been a time consuming task given the length of the feed barriers at Metcalfe’s where, in a full year, the Silo Crab will cover 216 miles!

Also, by collecting the remains in this way, the left-over feed can be measured, providing Metcalfe’s with a more accurate figure of how much the cows have eaten.

If you'd like to discuss any bespoke requirements you might have, don't hesitate to contact me direct - the more quirky the better!
