Investment Tractor

I’m buying a tractor for a few jobs around my yard and building site but mainly as one I can sell on again if I want to and get my money back. I’m leaning to a TM155, do ppl think they will hold value/increase? They are making strong money now so I’d want to be sure I’d get it back. I’d also consider a T7030/40 or a JD 7810. Opinions or other suggestions please?

What about a 6800 or 6900 John deere? A few advertised at the moment that look very good value? They don't have the headline power figures that we are used to seeing but they were a big tractor in the day and the powerquad box is known to be strong. they are mostly low on electrical equipment too which is a boost.

I’m reading that Deere’s are hard on fuel, how true it is I don’t know.

the older pre adblu gear is generally pretty good on diesel

the first R series were hard on fuel compared to the T7 series as JD made a big thing about being "diesel only", but they quickly scrapped that idea for the next models.
TM155 wouldnt be any better on diesel than a 6900
they all drink if you work them hard, cant make energy from nothing.

Currently 4 6800s on ebay at the moment all big hours as you would expect but none of them are over 20K which I would say makes them pretty good value?

gotta to be a much better buy than a high houred 6800 for similar money
Could be, but I was looking for something that would be an investment and I don't see there being a big demand for semi old cases going forward where as John Deeres are / were much more common so the chances of someone with fond memories of one and after another one as a toy are higher than a bit of an Also ran model from case?

If it was a 1056 or 5140 which were fairly cult machines then I would agree but an MXM175 I don't think had much of a following did it?

its a TM175 in disguise.

everyone always says the same about case, then a few years down the line they are sought after, like the MX135, and pretty much every model before it

You could be right I am not an expert on the topic. I am a John Deere guy hence the suggestion, but other options are available.
