Iodine in water drinkers

We always pre calving pour a mix of iodine on cows backs in the run up to calving. I’m wondering about putting it in water tanks and they can drink it through the water . Both farms are private water tanks in the fields that supply the calving cows . Anybody else do this? I have heard of mixing it through a diet mixer for them to injest

We mix it 50/50 with water and they would get two squirts so 60ml. I don’t like putting blouses over throat. Just thought this would be bit more time saving just add some in tank now and again
