I've loaded IOS 8 on an IPAD2 and now when on TFF via Safari I am unable to open any video (you tube) content on any posts. Has anyone else had this problem and is there any workaround or solutions.
OK - i suspect it may be just slow not sure yet - I tried it and displayed just a black square the the red play triangle appeared and tapped it about 5-6 times and it played
I've just tried tapping the red play triangle a few times and it will eventually start and play. So this may be another issue linked to running IOS8 and it causing a marked slowness in operation of apps.
It's really weird as i though i sussed it by tapping just above the white triangle but I cannot recreate it. Double tap zooms in fine every time and once you get a vid to play the pause and play button work fine.
Lets see what future updates bring...
I will try it on my lad's iphone6 when he gets back from school to see if it is a local resource/power/oomph thing
As has been widely reported the starting of apps is slow on IOS8. Therefore in opening a video in the post requires the operating system to go to you tube and select the video and essentially open the You Tube app within the post. So going from one app to the other is the problem.
Latest OS is designed/optimised for latest hardware, that's how the business works, I hate it as it forces hardware purchase and perpetuates the 'throw away technology' culture.
Thought that this Apple stuff "just works" at least that's what all the brainwashed masses tell you!
I have Android stuff here and prefer it, use an Ipad at my parents and while it's Ok I can't see that the Apple stuff is any better than anything else.
