I have an iPhone 7 that I need to update to iOS 12 to run a certain app. I can't get it to update. I tried deleting the update and downloading it again. Nothing seems to work.

It needs to have over 50% charge to run the update.

I had it plugged in and it has plenty memory for the update.

  4. Try the update with it plugged in to your computer using iTunes.

Have you tried turning it off and then back on again.

you do realize that the update will slow down your iPhone, it apple policy to get you to buy a new one by making your existing one slow.

I did wonder how long it would be before the iPhone haters appeared from their ‘hole.
FYI: iOS12 works absolutely fine on an iPhone 7

Apple admitted to slowing down older phones this way.

iOS 12 works fine my iPhone SE too, which presumably Apple would be writing off by now.;)
