Irish agri , no deal aid.

Just read that republic of Ireland farmers are going to get hundreds of millions of Euro in aid if it's a no deal, to help them cope, l wonder if things are that bad we might get some. Gives speech today doesn't answer many questions.

Very unlikely.
Only way would be in the form of some measure to help herald in the transition to public/environmental good.

Where does it say this? I'm sure they have their hands out already but I can't see Hogan doing anything until after 29th March at the earliest. No doubt he'll tell them to bill us for it!

The article was about the IFA calling for some emergency support if there is a hard brexit (as opposed to the irish government or the EU saying there will be aid).

However, I've said it before, but I think this is THE reason why the UK should be in the driving seat with brexit negotiations. Eire will be an economic disaster without access to the UK market.

A no deal Brexit will probably be bad for rural Ireland. But that will (is already) easily be offset by the large number banking and financial service businesses moving into Dublin.

On "flip side" what will Southern Ireland get differently from EU as to at present, as will STILL be in EU.
They want "foot hold" to UK so in reverse we have "foot hold" to EU .

Ireland had plenty to say about no movement on the backstop arrangement, so they might regret it when it's a no deal nd there's no backstop and they're economy goes through the floor, no sympathy here, they've been backed up by the rest of the EU to try nd bully Britain, not certain but beginning to look like it could backfire spectularly on the EU and Ireland.
