It was more meant as sarcasm, in case that went over your head :)

Keep in mind the tyrant who founded the DUP, terrorism isn't far away from the surface in either of the two main parties in NI, an ivory tower doesn't change that.

Let's not be fools and allow ourselves to believe otherwise.

To the best of my knowledge 'the tyrant who founded the DUP' never pulled the trigger and before you say it, there is a world of difference between the two, at least in my small mind.

what’s that got to do with Ppe?I don’t know why you’ve turned this round to the dup....just sound bitter!

Your lame attempt at a joke about a balaclava/SF/PPE is what brought about the association.
Then in an attempt to seem clever you feel a need suggest that my deliberately obtuse reply was a result of your attempt at sarcasm going over my head, this was confirmation of what you meant.
Do keep up.

Interesting how you pick up on talk about the DUP, but don't acknowledge the mention of Lewis Hamilton :ROFLMAO:
That says a lot.

As for being bitter, not at all, after a childhood of having the pretentious ministers, the mighty church and the holier than thou DUP rammed down my throat I just don't hold the establishment in very high regard and gives me good reason to take exception to those who bulllsh!t about it.
Relieved to leave that narrow minded rubbish behind, but not bitter.
Thanks for taking the time to consider that though, and thank you further for confirming that I wasn't wrong in my opinion on so many NI people's narrow minds.

it was intended to be a lame joke I imagined people would realise that not get their knickers in a twist about the dup. That’s being narrow minded!(i’ve nothing to with the dup or their ivory tower so I just don’t see how they are relevant here at all)

I’ve little knowledge of Lewis Hamilton, bar that he drives cars fast, so that was wasted on me.

No knickers in a twist, merely suggesting that some things are best kept in mind when throwing stones at others.

Re. Hamilton, you referred to someone associated with a balaclava and I referred to another who has regularly worn one.

But for you that was clearly (to use your term) "whooooooosh"

surely I only have to keep in mind the founder of the dups actions(when throwing stones) if I agree or am part of or vote for the dup? Again how is the dup relevant to me?

I didn't suggest it's best just to keep in mind the actions of the DUP, just that in general some things are best kept in mind when condemning or defending, I generally don't associate myself with any group, for that reason.

I did not suggest that any party, group, cult or whatever, was relevant to you, I merely used the DUP as another example of party that (alongside SF) has had association with balaclava wearing types.

I'm at a loss as to why you assume I'd link you to a particular political group, I'd not really thought about it as you are only words on a screen at this end.
For all I know you could be anything from an eighty year old granny who is an founder of an IRA appreciation society, through to a 21 yo computer nerd.

Its just The minister in question isnt just associated with balaclava wearing types he’s a convicted terrorist, hence the joke. Which perhaps you should just have ignored? What should I be considering?

Well I don't think it would be a daft idea to consider what you class as a joke, in the context in which it was made it, they are geneally meant to be funny, which I'd say it wasn't.
You have to ask yourself, is a terrorist being in your assembly humorous?
Is an assembly that is prepared to work alongside and pay terrorists funny?
Is a British government that is prepared to negotiate with a terrorist a laughing matter?I'd say no to all three. But I'd say that the situation that allows this to occur, is a joke (different context)
I also find it a joke that for all those years the British Government negotiated with terrorists even when they said they wouldn't.

Out of interest, in your opinion, if a terrorist isn't convicted does that make them any less of a terrorist?

I didn't suggest that you personally need to consider anything.
If you need me to tell you what you should consider things aren't looking great for you.

Why is Dublin Airport hosting flights from Covid-19 hotspots?
Statement by TUV leader Jim Allister:-

“Though there is often something of the sanctimonious about the Republic’s billing of its handling of Coronavirus, there is a dangerous elephant in its midst it doesn’t want to talk about – the fact that Dublin Airport continues to operate daily flights from Covid-19 hotspots, including New York, without health checks.

“Just as Northern Ireland’s first Coronavirus case came via Dublin Airport, so its continuing operation in this fashion poses a direct threat to Northern Ireland.

“Flights from North America, Brussels, Amsterdam, and the Far East, via Doha, are all unloading hundreds of potentially infected carriers onto our doorstep, with nothing to stop them travelling on to this jurisdiction.

“What a contrast with Belfast International Airport, which has closed down to all commercial flights and Belfast City Airport, with its single London flight per day!

“I am, therefore, raising these issues with the NI Executive. I am tabling the Questions below to the First Minsters and the Health Minister. This is an issue which needs to be addressed.”

To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister what representations they have made about the fact that Dublin Airport continues to operate flights from Coronavirus hotspots, including New York, without health checks, given the ease of onward travel into Northern Ireland.

To ask the Minister for Health what discussions have taken place with his counterpart in the Republic of Ireland, or via the respective chief medical advisers, about the fact that Dublin Airport continues to operate flights from Coronavirus hotspots, including New York, without health checks, given the ease of onward travel into Northern Ireland.

That Jim being Jim, give that there lots of UK airports still open with international flights arriving/departing Jim is just doing his normal RoI ranting

Jim’s just like Ian ..... ranting and raving about Dublin Airport. Poor Ian, nearly had a coronary several times last year. ROI apparently kidnaps the hoards or tourists bound for NI, and ships them all down to Killarney.
But I’m told Jim isn’t a bad sort behind all his bluster and fluster .....
The thing about Dublin Airport, is that it will continue to suck most of the air traffic into and out of this island. Belfast is going to have to live with that, just like Cork and Shannon.
Get over it Jim, the all island economy is here to stay and to grow ......

I'm guessing that the only reason there aren't more international flights into Belfast is because relatively few international flights go there anyway.

How many people are flying into Dublin?
I see a few flights going into Edinburgh, but a pal who works there says very few people are traveling, flights are mainly carrying perishable goods that are normally carried in the cargo hold of many foreign flights.

Indeed. Passenger traffic in and out of Dublin is down 96%. It’s mainly critical goods are moving. We are an island after all, and no doubt a nice slice of what’s coming in through Dublin goes over the border, to keep Jim’s constituents fed, watered and medicated. Maybe Jim’s blood pressure tablets come in that way ......

Jim wouldn't take a tablet that came in through an oule Fenian airport.
