Forgive my ignorance on this,if I buy parts from Ireland that have the VAT included, can I claim it back. Items are priced including vat and no customs to add. Thanks

things have changed a bit you need a eori number you get this by going on the gov vat portal and apply for a eori number its the same as your vat number with 3 zeros after it
then you pay for the part then the parcel company charge you vat and a import tax then you get a form from the vat office to claim the vat back but not the import tax

You cannot claim back Irish VAT they do not need to charge it, but may not want the hassle of doing so.
Then when it gets to UK customs it will have Vat levelled on the price you pay, but you should be able to claim that back

It's nothing major, just a set of stub axles and wheels for a quad trailer. They're cheaper than anyone else I've found so far even if the VAT can't be reclaimed. The firm have them listed on ebay
