Surely you'll have paid a consultant to figure the ins & outs of such an investment?
I did ask my dad & he though it was abit extravagant buying a new fork but I think sometimes you have to go for it & take the risk. It's going to cost me more in the long run because next months Investment budget will be spent on a new handle for the old fork, just to give him something to do ;)

Farming Connect allocated £7 million to advise us last year in Wales probably that may double with the excitement that we will see in the proposals put forward on the new distribution of subsidy/ support payments. Sitting down and being advised by expert consultants round the kitchen table will take some sticking as they will be on treble figures per hr to dole the advice out to us on single figure per hr income. Be better to bypass that and give us the money direct on a production module to make up for the under the cost of production prices we currently get. Be an expensive way to re invent the wheel.!!!

I agree, but I very much doubt that gravy train is going to derail any time soon.

I did ask what was involved in becoming one of these 'experts', when I saw a business plan last year. Probably pays a lot better than actually doing the work....

Yes the gravy train is well in motion it seems a freedom of information request will make some interesting reading in 12 months time and will boggle the mind. The support payment has been well and truly intercepted and there will be big earnings for our consultants!!

I broke our pitch fork the other day, very annoying,it was holding a gate open in the wind at the time and I ran over it.

Question is as this equipment is used rarely these days can I justify a new one or do I spend the time and put a new shaft in it.....hmmmm.
