I can see Mr Sunak becoming PM, he is a touch on the young side still, and let him hand over the reins in a few years when the economy is properly green shoots.

He needs to mature and prove himself yet, any fool can giveaway money, the skill is in taking it back. I always think the Tory party ruined one of the best PM's we never had by electing Willy Hague leader prematurely.

Who with a sane mind would want to take over from Boris just now?

Yes indeed. You can see even Starmer doesn’t want it or doesn’t want to be in government.
The Brexiteers have littered the economic landscape with landmines, and have no idea exactly where they placed them. Covid has come in night and added another layer of landmines!!
Clever approach now is to leave it to them (the Brexiteers)! Let them walk across no mans land to the sunny uplands on the far side.

No, I haven’t changed my tune. I said Starmer was simply playing with Boris. I said he had to be in no hurry.
And now weeks later, with Boris and co doing ever, ever more damage, it’s even clearer to Starmer that what ever happens, the Tory’s need to be left trudging through their own mess for as long as possible. Let them inflict max possible self harm, albeit sadly also on the whole country at the same time.
Come next election Starmer will be crowned .... he won’t need to canvas or have a manifesto.

😂😂😂 stop it you will make me spill my coffee, you have probably noticed that since starmer took the knee his poll numbers are dropping! Like I said earlier ashy is the joke that keeps on giving

The reality is the job of Pm comes with more stress than satisfaction and contentment. As someone already said, Boris wanted to have been PM rather than be PM, but that simply sets him up for a fall due to wanting to be PM rather than wanting the job that goes with it. I didn’t vote for Boris. I wish him no ill will but he’s a puppet, expendable and offers ever little to the organ grinders. If health doesn’t get him then Brexit will. Who will replace him? No idea, Hunt has the brains and ability to do the job, these are the reasons he won’t want it and has 4 yrs to watch from the sidelines. IMO

Bit like the Tory leadership 'contest' in the good old days pre Covid.
Who would really want to be in charge atm beats me...

And you know, the job would be so much easier, if the unelected criminals in EUland, would only stop playing silly buggers, and accept that the empire has been reborn!

At least we still have Land of Hope and Glory to look forward to.
I would suggest that the hope element of this tune, will be the more desirable commodity for 2021

Your all living in the past, the game has changed and what follows wont be pretty and I don't just mean politics either.…………Keep your eyes on America, because what happens there inevitably follows here.
And as for EU land :ROFLMAO: ………..Their banks are f****d, and now that Trump has removed US military protection due to non payment for it (Germanys broke;)) the Germans have got to cobble something else together to try and replace it...………….we did exactly the right thing in getting away from the deluded dwellers of the counterfeit Tower of Babel, there are only tin gods operating from in there.

Le Penn is a Faragesque figure. pushing to the right beyond where the majority want to go. Ignore them to your peril, do not ridicule them and understand that much of what they stand for is is very appealing.

I think there are still enough French alive to remember the "appeal" of what Le Penn is advocating to say "non".
