Depends how many, you need felling licence above a certain amount. Google felling licence

It you're not sure whether the amounts you're looking to fell require a licence, Google "timberpolis". There are calculators on there that will help to estimate the volume of timber you're dealing with.

More information required really. You say trees (in the plural). Is that two trees or two hectares of trees. The former doubtful, the latter probably yes.

Shame you've missed the New Year, the 5m3 quarterly allowance means you could have cut one down before 1st Jan and one after, and you'd have 10m3 to play with.
