Is it possible to find out how busy local hospital is

There are daily stats for each region of Scotland. A local "what's going on" page on FB put up the updated figures daily... There's been no deaths for 2 weeks in Dumfries & Galloway so they've stopped posting (or at least I've not seen it on my feed). IIRC the (Scotgov) figures gave you new cases, patients in hospital and number in ICU broken down per region. It gave you an idea of how busy our hospital was...

I do not know if such information is/was available in the rest of the UK, though.

There is but I would not read too much into it.

Have had to go to a couple of hospitals during lockdown for non Covid reasons. We found the best way to find out was to ask the nursing staff. But didn’t know before we got there.

The ONS had a very good map showing deaths per parish, dated 1st March to 17th April. (not Scotland) This is now out of date of course but their web page has some quite detailed info. It was the first time I could find out how many cases in my area as the only other figures were for the whole of Hywel Dda (health region). As this covers 3600 square miles, it was not much help. All the charts and trends that were in the news seem to have disappeared lately.
