Not sure how much we've actually had as our rain meter thing isn't working despite changing the batteries....

Barely had enough to dampen the top 1-2inches so far. It's made things a little sticky and it's that misty horrible stuff that still somehow manages to soak your hoody!

Trees leaves have burst out and all the rubbish and crap has grown but the grass is still slow...

Feel a bit of post traumatic stress coming ..... 2007 , 2012 , 2017 anyone see a pattern.

Had bugger all here in mid Lincolnshire,sugar beet is desperate for a decent rain,just keep getting a couple of mm at a time,and with this wind blowing,it gone in a few hours.

Not had what you could call steady rain here yet but I do remember 2002 was an awful wet summer as well.
Think we were 150-200% of average rainfall. First and only time I've had Spring barley in the 25% screenings region.

Can't remember if that Spring was dry or not though.

Looks like you should be getting some tomorrow. You won't be any worse off than anyone else if it does I can promise you this , been all around the UK in the last two weeks , except the southwest , and there is good , bad and ugly everywhere and it's only really rained with us two days ago here.

The damage has been done everywhere already.

I was secretly hoping for a 1976 style drought though, I must admit.

Don't really know why. Maybe it's due to the last few years of difficult harvests.
