3 coats dripping in the kitchen, a horrible day, heavy constant rain since the early hours and still tipping it down now. Just picked 23 snails off the house wall....they fly quite well!

Had more than enough now, absolutely soaking, been on a big digging job and the past 48hrs might have knackered it for the rest of the week, and to think we're usually starting hay from the middle of June....

Where's the thread about dry summer 1976 and all that balls!
Been pi$$ing down here all day yesterday and last night like January not June! Blowing like mad with branches down, power outages and cows put in a sheltered paddock last night!

Peed it down all yesterday and woken up to it again this morning
Historically in these parts the weekend around the 8th of June and a few days either before or after has had some of the worst rainfall and wind known to man, the marker being the Tractorfest at Newby Hall near Ripon.
In one of the early ones most of the trade stands packed up due to the wind and rain. Three or four years ago it started at 10.am and by 4pm some of the lovely manicured grass was unfit to walk on.

Could it break for next Friday please. It can then continue.

10 day forecast isn't quite there yet but it's not looking bad so far

Nothing here.
Nor here. Mild drizzle but it will come to nothing again despite the weather graphics. I really do think these rain graphic timelines should go and they just give farmers an estimated daily mm rainfall forecast. Be more measurable forecast vs reality. Beyond a joke now for grass. A lot of cereal crops look well in the area (non irrigated)
