After reading this thread i think the best thing to do is move to france !!
I mean if farming policies dont have a social function and its live or die by the
" level playing field " whether 50 acres or 50000 then the future is bleak .
Far better to be living in sunny france with all its faults but at least the try to protect family farms and maintain the fabric of rural society ..
If ih relief isint a hill on the level playing i dont know what is !!
Just have a look at @le bon paysan and @czechmate both knocking it out handy and enjoying the good life .
Sadly the level playing field has nothing to offer to young people trying to get a start farming for an income or a future .
