Is northern blocking ruining our climate??

Seems to me as an amateur weather watcher that the last few years and the last 12 months in particular have seen our weather become much more influenced by more high pressure to the north and northwest .This has caused lows to track over the uk more often or even to the south and given us an increased freqeuncy of winds somewhere from the north and basically as far as i can see has ruined our climate.Take a look at the gfs http://www.coldswell.com/longrange.php - for the rest of march which shows this pattern well.looks like the rest of the month is a near write of regarding spring!Although i should add gfs is notoriously fickle and just as likely to produce a stunner in the next output.
Just wondering if this is just a cycle in the weather as my uncle keeps telling me or is it something we have got to live with due to the increased melting artic and its effect on the jet stream??

its just a cycle .. .The artic ice is back growing again 5 days earlier than last year and this years minimum was 31% above normal .... if you want to know the reason

just look above you

It's all about thickness though not just coverage.very complex and sometimes volatile subject depending on who you listen to or believe.
