Is profi worth buying?

I have been looking at some Power farming magazines from the early 80's .... how things have changed !!!
I am sure there are readers of Profi here so is it worth the cost?

Power Farming had one big advantage back in the day. It was the only publication for machinery hence every Ag student studying mechanisation etc had a subscription and it earned a lot of money for the then owners for sure.

No I don’t think it is and keep meaning to cancel my sub for it.
Same here

Would miss the online search for specific past articles on tractors or machines though, and look at that more than actually reading the over priced, glossy, didn't really say much controversial, padded out and full of adverts magazine each month.

I always find ther tractor reviews tend to focus more on brand thats more popular in germany like deutz fendt jd case claas and massey kubota mccormick zetor never seem to get as much articles which is a shame

No internet back then either, with Google & Youtube you could almost get as much info on a machine these days as having a machine on demo.

I think Profi went down hill years ago but has since picked back up again.
I don't have a subscription anymore but they do appear in the shops here, just 2 or 3 months late as I assume they come surface mail.
They seem to have more detail than Farm Machinery Journal which is just full of space filling waffle.

The more you read it over the years the more you wonder how much was in the brown envelopes for certain articles for certain
Manufacturers .
Seems less and less impartial as time goes on.
Sometimes i Read Articles and wonder how little some of the contributors actually know about the kit they are writing about and how much has been force fed them by their
Competitirs. The

Too full of big kit for me, but it's better than Farm Machinery Journal, which just spouts the manufacturers copy when reviewing something.
