‘Lent’ someone 40 bales last year for a garden party for £1 each, when I went to collect them 2 days later they were in 100 bin bags

Rule one of hiring bales - full purchase price to be paid up front, refund of £x/bale if returned in reasonable condition..........personally I just charge £3/bale regardless, if they want me to collect them afterwards (and I have the time) I'll do that for free.....some bales end up being 'sold' 2 or 3 times over(y)

I hired some out last year 50p a bale they collect and return any not done so they paid the full price, was someone I used to do some mowing for, others I have charged full price, if they return them thats up to them , most do as they dont want to pay to get rid of them

No shortage of straw in this area.....cattle still out and ditches bone dry.

Southern Water have just realised the drought is getting serious .......

Even the drainage board meeting was full of how the water table was so low and salt water was seeping in!
