I drop a pin on Google Earth. It is accurate to a couple of metres or so. You need to be logged into a Google account, but can then see the pins on your desktop and other devices too.

Looking for a quick app for marking things like wild oats in fields. Any one using anything decent on a phone?

cheers john

I drop a pin on whatsapp to the wife, when I find thistles etc whilst shepherding. She the sprays them when she's next out with the knapsack or quad sprayer, it works both ways and is accurate to a few meters,

I find the W3W interface really frustrating. The basic functionality is fine it's just the photo side of it I find useless. I'm prob doing something wrong but I can't seem to "get it". All I want is to take a photo in a field and then look at that photo in the future and for W3W to show me where it was taken on the satellite map. You'd think that was ludicrously simple but no it isn't as far as I can see. What am I doing wrong?

You need an iPhone, it automatically stamps the time, date and location when you take a picture. Just go into the location photo album and you can see where ever photo was taken.

I have location data switched on in Android, so it's the same but when you zoom in on google maps it shows ALL the photos you've taken instead of the single photo you're looking at. It just doesn't work like you expect it to. It seems such a simple thing to do, mystery why they implement it like this.
