When there is stability in the models then the forecasts will be good. But times you really want some accuracy there is normally no stability and lots of systems.
i've come to the conclusion that the more technology the forecasters have at their disposal the worse their predications have become pine cone and squirrel nuts anyone
You mean (north) sw Scotland? Weather has been pretty rubbish the last few weeks here, forecast for week ahead looks good then deteriorates as time goes on, not a lot of fun trying to farm with 1 dry day a week.Coming dry end of Aug/ start of Sept in the SW
