Probably nothing more annoying. But on a par are those ewes that haven't lambed yet but have nicked licked and suckled another ewes lambs!! Then the real mother doesn't want to know [emoji35][emoji35][emoji35] Seemed to have had a few of those this year.

We always cull them. But for the last 10 years or so were culling the rejected offspring too

No. I still can not sort this problem out. Had a few done it too

I have had that happen twice in my life,but both times the rejected twins had something wrong with them that you could not spot on the outside,they looked normal.Both of them did not grow hand reared,and stayed calf size to a year old,and then died

A Lim x calved heifer that half heartedly wants its calf but wont let it suck.At least you can take your frustration out on the ewe.

Try some iodine on her back

Theres always one! The same as a group going perfectly through a gate,but the last one will go straight past, up the fence line.

Had one like it last year ,and seen here lamb straight into pen and she would'nt take it.
Had to stand in pen for it to suck.
Took off her in the end as she was nasty towards it.
Anyhow thought she was empty this year as late lambing ,and anyhow she lambed and had 3 this time ,and all fantastic and ok?

Just the 20% stuff you dip navels with pour some on the cows back 30ml ish I just tip some on doesn’t have to be exact wait a couple of days and she will be away put a drop on the calf while you are on 10ml or so in front of the tail head it soaks in through the skin we do loads here it will be iodine deficiency
