Is there much difference between spot on and butox swish , headfly sheep ?

just going to get some chem for headfly for the rams (wont need it for a bit i hope ) is there much difference in lasting or action, i see butox is a bit weaker ,

We use Ectofly which seems to cover for headflies. Not sure how it compares in price.

Spot-on is dearer but lasts longer (for headfly) ime.

Used Swish for the dairy cows once, as it’s supposed to last longer. It was a lot more expensive iirc, and didn’t seem to last any longer than Spot-on. Never used it again.

went to see the downland rep this morning , they do their own spot-on called flydown, about £40 for 500ml

Use Crovect here on horned tups - seems to work very well at preventing smelly horns/ears getting maggots - not sure if there are better products to actually "deter" flies though. Certainly wouldn`t use spot on for heads only - good product for tick control here though.
