Is thin digestate less good?

Wasnt sure where to post this. Made a start at spreading digestate today. Noticed straight away its alot thiner as other years. Its like black coffee. I said to energen man who i get it from and he said where it comes from.at balfron they now take the fibre out but it will be as good as previous years.

Does anyone have any idea if taking fibre out does it effect npk in digest/slurry?

I will be doing my own test at nrm but could be end of next week with results coming back.

will have a higher phosphate content but much lower total of nitrogen readily available. it does vary in thickness depending on tank levels and how well it is agitated. lower the tank levels the thicker it is.

I do have a report of it in the spring but just seems so much thinner. Although i think theres 32" (since the backend maybe?) or 58000g of rain in beside it which wont be helping.

Not far from you but ours comes from different site . They did the same and people said it was not as good . I noticed it looked more watery and didn’t have the same strong smell but grass grew just as well I would say .

Although the lab report states 65% available Nitrogen, not all of this will be available to the plant. There will be some Nitrogen loss at spreading which should be taken into account before the digestate is valued.

Top results is what the supplier gave me. Bottom is my results. Spread at 2200g to compensate for 20% water in the store. About half the npk as i had hoped for. Doubt i will get anymore.
