Is this Brown rust

Flag leaf of some Sundance

Had t2 10 days or so ago, not in all fields but one is particularly bad, what do people think it is?

Some might say it’s a rust infection that’s been fought off by the plant. But I’ve no idea myself!

Its possible that it was a rust infection that the T2 application wiped out.

It is also possible the crop/leaf was infected with septoria before it was sprayed but there were no visual clues.

Ive never seen tan spot in wheat although I have heard of it but would have called it dreschlera and have seen it in grass many times.

The last time tan spot was a thing was the mid 90's, and then it just sort of disappeared as an issue.
More than one study has linked tan spot to a Cl ion deficiency. Cl deficiency is incredibly hand to demonstrate in a lab even, because the quantity required for normal growth is so minimal.

Now in the mid 90's wheat traded for years between 58 and 65 £ ex, and it was grown with minimal inputs by today's standards. So no MOP and crucially no chloromequat, which is a chloride salt....

Im glad i wasnt just being slow,

No rust pustules are visible and neither are pycnidia hence my confusion.

The rest of my Sundance has lots of spotting on the flag leaf, it was the same on a variety trial I looked at a few days ago but everywhere else the spots were living, this looks as though those spots have died.

T2 was elatus plus alto elite and epoxi, was sprayed 11 days ago, I wouldn't have called it late but the tips of the flag leaf had been out for a few days whilst the rest emerged.

I will get better pictures, when I take them with my phone it regularly tells me they are too big so I crop them any pointers?

I've never had any issues with iOS uploading photos without cropping. I know others have more trouble.

It could be the lesions left by dead pustules controlled by the fungicide - that's quite a cocktail you've put on with proven rust active ingredients.

Looks like classic tan spot but as this is so easy to control I can't think theT2 would have failed. Lots of 'failed rust infections' around so could be this, Sundance is susceptible.

This is classic tan spot;

You'd describe it as septoria tritici without the black pychnidia spore bodies.

What you posted later makes me think it's tan spot or the left over lesions from dead brown rust. Out of interest, what nozzles & water volume did you use with your T2 @matttargett4 ?
