Is this mag?

Had a few ewes now found flat out but with head tucked right round almost under itself. Eyes looking round the way it's twisted round. Last ewe died after couple days despite treatment.
Just found another the same.
What could this be?

What treatment? Slightest off-ness we inject calmag and give Twin lamb drench. Really couldn't be anything other than staggers/milk fever now. I would do them all, you have a problem. Don't wait for them to be twitchy. You may only notice them blinking too much, get the needle pronto.
Head thrown over the back is listeria. I've had it in years past feeding good hay but on the same bit of fenceline too long.

Have they been thrashing around like running on their side?

Calcium and magnesium injection. Also antibiotics. Think it bad betamox.
Still alive this morning, sat up but head thrown round and back and eyes rolled back.
These sheep were inside on hayledge and hay and have been out a good few weeks with lambs at foot.
If listeria is there anything I can do?

Could be listeria it takes a while to show .I had it 8 weeks ago.you need big does of pen an strep for at least 5 days, after that just hope they come good.
I had 1 down for at least 3 weeks, guess most folk would of shot her.she lambed a set of twins last week.

Only ever had CCN in lambs. They gead press against walls and anything else, they seek outa surface to press against. The few ewes with listeria over the years all but one died. Good luck it's a bugger.
