The Cab craft on my IH434 looks as if it was designed by a chimp, but on a cold winter day, it's still better than sitting in the open
how many of them do you want
This seems a waste of a presentable tractor? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Massey-fe...K_BOI_FarmingEquipment_RL&hash=item259962eaffLooking at the general condition, I'd keep her as she is. And definitely leave the cab on.
Far too many cabs are dumped from that period by 'cop out' restorations. All part of her history.
definetly agree such a shameThis seems a waste of a presentable tractor? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Massey-fe...K_BOI_FarmingEquipment_RL&hash=item259962eaff
@blackbob but on the plus side, it might go handy money?
The 1050 above looks to have the same cab as out neighbours 1135, back in the day?
I had to edit that post 5 times to make it look like English .............
A nice little Perkins would fit lovely, you reckon the brakes would be the weak link?
He says its not Multi-Power so its all good.
Whilst it's nice to see a few concourse condition tractors, personally I prefer them to look like they would have done on a farm. I've got a Ford Force 3000 that I'm working on getting back up and running and at every step I question whether what I'm doing is going to add to or detract from the uniqueness/history of the tractor. Likewise I have an early 135 that has had almost nothing done to it in its life (a clutch or two and a crown wheel if I recall correctly) - folk keep telling me to "restore" it - my answer is that it is totally true and original & still does the work it needs to do!I wasn't championing it. Quite the opposite - it's a real shame than so many will 'cheat' and remove the cab. I like old tractors but going to the steam gathering to look at 50 cabless, concours MF 135s is pretty dull.
I agree completely. A good one to begin with will always trump a tarted up oneWhilst it's nice to see a few concourse condition tractors, personally I prefer them to look like they would have done on a farm.
