Is Vaderstad worth the extra money?

We're pricing ring rollers at the minute.
My preference would be Vaderstad, for nothing other than the name, but are they worth the 40% extra price over other makes? He Va, Dal Bo, Watson etc

I bought a New set earlier this year & heck they were missing 5 breaker rings !!! how did that leave quality control you wonder!
All sorted thankfully but yes there dearer blah blah blah but when my previous set lasted 25yr & never had a single bearing or cambs/breaker ring replaced not once
you go & buy another set don't you.
i'll put money on every other brand needing bearings & rings replacing much much sooner than the Vaddys ever do.
There the equ of the Fendt Tractor in Rollers
Thats my views on them.

I wouldn't buy a Fendt for reliability.
Got some vaddy rollers bought 2nd hand, 12.2m lightweight ones. Ideal for most of our ground and if not the carrier does some rolling on the odd occassion.

Neither would i but its a proven fact there worth by far the most on the used market.
And another more popular as ex expensive tractor is worth less.
By the way i sold my 25yr old Vaddys for £500 less than they cost new.
No i dont run Fendts but iam just stating some facts.

Dalbo set here must be 25yr old never needed a new bearing or ring yet. Always thought rollers to be the lowest tech implement on the farm after chain harrows, after all it’s always the job for the student/trainee as nothing much to get wrong. Vaddy kit is for rich farmers who like to share their money around (tin hat strapped on)

Always thought vaddy kit looked well made other than the rolls. They always look light and cheaply made compared to competitors. Got an Edlington that have done 25yrs, thousands of acres and due for change but they fold up with the chrome NOT left exposed, no idea why so many fold with chrome left out, and they fold vertically so take up very little room in a shed. (Never managed to make them look like they might tip over at 50kph either) would probably look at the vertical fold cousins next.
