ISO bus good or bad

I'll go against the majority with this one .

We've got an isobus drill and fert spreader and baler .

The drill has it's own screen mainly because we didn't have an isobus tractor when we got the first one and the main drill man got used to it and now we both like having separate screen for tractor +autosteer not having to flick between pages to see what's going on . The fert spreader was bought with it's own screen so it's moveable between tractors rather than being tied to one so if I get problems it's easy changed. The baler I tried for 1000 bales to use it as the control box is pretty sh!t to be honest and it's fine but using a touch screen when bouncing around a rough endrig is not easy so I've went back to using it's box and getting on better having actual buttons to feel.
We're probably a bit old school but the ideas good but for us the practically isn't there just yet . Less screens and cables etc but that's about it for me

I have a krm fertiliser spreader on isobus and the system works really well. It’s mostly on a Fendt and there’s no problem using the spreader and auto steer at the same time. I particularly like being able to put the spreader shutoff on the joystick. This wasn’t possible on the first krm software I had.

Have a new to me sprayer arriving next month which is also isobus. It’s been fine for the current owner on a Jd. Really looking forward to getting the sprayer running

Some like it some don't but here's my worst case scenario.
2 screens but I can see spreader auto shut off and auto steer at a glance.
All perfectly doable with the JD screen but I like it this way the next man down the road will hate it and be more than happy swapping page's to see all 3

I love ISObus so simple to hitch up a implement no messing about putting screens in and out and generally a better size and quality screen than supplied with the machine. Have to say that the vaderstad wireless system using a I pad is excellent as well.

I run a isobus spreader through a jd tractor, it’s good as no extra cab clutter but it does mean you have to turn pages a lot to see the tractors other functions. It’s not great if spreading and using auto steer as if you have a split page with isobus and field mapping in the corner you struggle to see much happening on the map

Biggest issue for me is using it with autosteer, there's split pages or page turning to use different functions.

On my main drill/spray tractor I have a separate Muller ISO screen to run both Horsch machine's ( sprayer and drill ) through the one box with an ISO joystick for the sprayer.

We run the firt spreader through a Claas s10 and that is set the other way around with the spreader reduced into the bottom corner and the guidance on the rest of the screen.

That's the way we do it, then unlock codes stay with the tellus rather than the tractor. The bonus is we can run the agco topcon steering on the tellus and leave the tractor functions on the data4. Much easier with touchscreen better functionality and bigger screen.

the gen 4 is perfectly capable of showing all that on one page. It’s not as good as the Fendt screen in my mind (I regularly use both) but I wouldn’t want another screen in there.

Probably is but I don't use it for various reasons .

Here's a scenario that I currently have and is one reason we do it this way my JD 2630 has got stuck on startup so no autosteer which is fine the tractor is still running so just get on with the job in hand with the markers but if I was running the machine I'm using through it I'd be stuck till the dealer AMS guy can come to it which is today but by the time he gets here I'll be finished this job instead of having to wait.
I know it's not the most common thing to happen but it happens so in these situations a control box with a machine comes into it's own

I hear what you are saying but the control box with the machine is just as likely to fail, just so happens the 2630 has in this occasion.
if a gps screen failed here we’d be down until fixed as everything we do needs gps
