Isobus section control

Has anyone experience using a Trimble kit for section control on an isobus sprayer on a pre isobus tractor. I'm looking to have one screen to work the mapping and the isobus side too. I will quite likely upgrade is to steer the combine at harvest with an electric kit. The two big names that I favour are Trimble and Deere.
Is SF1 more accurate than the free Trimble equilivant? I'm currently running Fendt varioguide on essentials net and it works well but on egnos it's not so good but that's the free alternative.

Any advise is welcome.

EGNOS is the free alternative for Trimble too!

RTX RangePoint is the next level up on the Trimble side and it is more comparable to SF1 but it requires a subscription. I think £250-300 per year.
It’s free for the first year if you have purchased new Trimble equipment

The XCN-2050 display from Trimble (or the recently launched XCN-1050) are the displays in Trimble’s current product offering which support ISOBUS section control (and rate control if necessary). Both displays will Work with the Trimble electric steering system - EZ-Pilot.

Which ISO sprayer are you working with?

I’m using a knight trailblazer through a CCI screen but for section control it needs mapping and a section control unlock. After doing that it will still only be a one trick pony so I’d rather buy a more versatile system and upgrade it.
Is the unlock codes transferable in years to come on trimble screens if a new one comes out? Is the xcn-1050 the same as the gfx-750?

Not exactly, sometimes there is some kind of trade-up program that might be running and in those they will take into account the unlocks on your current device and give you a free unlock towards your new device.
It can’t be guaranteed that those programs will always be running.

Yes
