Interesting that Italy stopping solar Farms. I also read elsewhere that Argentina is about to start fracking for Oil and gas on a massive scale, all of which will exported. Meanwhile we are in the opposite mode of denial.
Italy have gone big on pannelling over public spaces such as car parks, but they would not find it difficult to find land totally unsuited to farming to place panels

Due to their chronic droughts, the HEP’s are running at minimal capacity so I’m a bit suprised.

Two summers ago they were lacking both water and electric, not great

We seriously need to think about kidnapping Milei and installing him here whilst knocking down the Houses of Parliament.

I see Starmer and Co are looking at replicating Norway's, National Wealth Fund (or whatever it is called. The green idiots forget that the reason Norway is so wealthy is from Oil and Gas sales.....

I wonder how long before it is realised (remembered) we are still sitting on vast carbon fuel reserves....?

I dont see any reason why the state shouldnt invest in domestic renewables tbh.

Might buck them up to get some passed.

Planning policy in UK is now mostly the same - 3b grade land or below.

That said these rules may get in the way of our new Government’s plans so who knows if this will change!
