Italy's in shut down

Was reading an interesting article. Everyone is obsessed as to why the Germans are so great at testing and have such a low death rate.

The answer of course is that their cases so far have been in younger people rather than older. I would suggest their population structure may differ from that of Italy?

His area of expertise is? He used to be an A&E nurse and is now retired.

He has a doctorate, but it is a PhD, not a medical doctorate. I have known quiter a few people working in the NHS with PhDs but I would not rely on them for medical advice.

If that is true then the man is not doing himself or anyone else a favour as he would appear to be misleading the public as to his level of expertise.

Has anyone compared the average death rate from anything apart from covid 19 since the beginning of the year?

I would hazard a guess that a percentage of those that have sadly lost their life from Covid 19 . 1, 5, 10,25 % would have passed away anyway.

Maybe a slight exaggeration there but cutting the services was a bad idea. But people still need to travel for work whether you like it or not.
I agree if you double the number of trains you actually lower the risk, same with number of tills open them all and spread the risk by less contact per operator.
