Collie is scratching all the time presume some kind of parasite any suggestions appreciated

Harvest mites are an increasing problem. Medicated shampoo is good thing to use in general.

No one has mentioned summer coat moult. Have you brushed him and checked his skin or even check there is no skin complaint. Before umping to the conclusion of fleas etc.

We used too throw the dogs through the dip when I was a little nipper. Then they changed the active ingredient and we stopped very quickly after a neighbour had massive vets bills when 2 of his dogs had a bad reaction. Never done it since

Used to put dogs through the dip here when we used to dip, stopped putting them in when a bitch aborted 6 pups just days after going through it.

If you want to kill them, carry on. Sheep spot on completely different chemical than dog. Specific warning not to use on dogs.

How old is it? Had a dog strangely develop gluten intolerance when 10 mths old. Process of elimination. She got back to normal about 6 mths later

+ to possible food allergy. We also had a cat (rescue) with horrific skin problems, nearly bald. Adoption agency vet was jagging, pills, etc, very expensive and not working. My vet - try anti skin allergy food. Cured within weeks.
