I don't care if they personally said them or not they added their political weight to the campaign with those things as their central tenets. As I said there's no hiding behind orders is orders, if they are not prepared take collective responsibility for the campaign then how on earth are they going to be fit to run the Country?
Aha, we were not electing them, we already had a government, so your point is?

Your point would be legit if we were voting for the 'vote leave party' , but we did not, stop viewing "Leave" as a political party. It isnt. More like folk at Euston station: each has reasons; commonality is they want to be there

Smoke and mirrors, you know neither of them said it nor made the claims, quite simple nor did it have any bearing on the result, why exactly should they have to disown what someone else said, i never saw Cameron disown anything the communists that wanted to remain in the eu said?!

Nor did you acknowledge the rest of the post :D.

Why post something that is simply untrue? 350 million does go to the EU, of which Gove etc that spout it, have never said anything otherwise, and Dan Hannan never said anything in the debate about immigration.

Why has house prices not gone down 20% like Osborne said? i was looking for a bargain.

I've seen this argument had before, it's a boring attempt to discredit the result to make you feel better.
I Think if article 50 had been pushed the day after the vote then some of the claims would of been true, some could still happen when we press the button now nobody knows,so why worry about something that we carnt control but be safe in the knowledge that if our mps get it wrong we can get rid of them something we could not do with the eu leaders.
Anyway merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year to one and all

I know that, but they are politicians, even outside elections we test their integrity by their actions. They failed.

That's what parliamentary elections are for my good man, if you think they're a sh!t, vote them out, less can be said for Junker and his clique. thankfully Cameron jumped before he got pushed.

I don't have to wait though, do I. I can point out their lack of integrity at any time.

Junker (or another Junker) will still be there even when we are not.

Cameron salvaged whatever credibility he had left when he took the bold steps he did following his loss. It's poor form to decry him, one of the only ones to show a shred of honour.

I wouldn't say honour, he just wasn't up to the job and he knew it, stick to your word, of which by leaving the job, he did not.

Politics to him and Osborne was just a game, a game they lost, but seeing as Osborne made 700k this year after leaving his post, good riddance.

Right. So you're annoyed because politics is a game to him AND you're annoyed he resigned.

I'm annoyed he played us along and basically lied all the way through, no excuses and he paid the price. He wasn't someone like Farage on the side lines, he was the Prime minster.

I can see your logic for once, if you assume he knew he would resign. I don't make that assumption. I know it was his own error to call the referendum and he paid the price, but I find it really bizarre that the beneficiaries of that, the swivel eyed loons as somebody more eloquent than I called them, would hold so much vitriol for him. To me that shows they are motivated by prejudice and spite rather than the better interests of the country. That's a dangerous track.

The Vitriol held is because he stood by, as Obama slated us, who the hell does that? he also got a very poor deal back from the EU and then had the gall to say it was a good deal, we all knew that was the end of him then, up to that point, he was ok-ish.

He had no choice in the matter of holding a referendum on the eu, it was on the cards for years before 2015, when in opposition he kept on chirping about it and then when Ukip started gaining momentum, there would be only one way to keep them at bay, probably one of the 2 reasons i voted tory at the GE

Before Christmas Guido reported that Andrea Leadsom was the first Cabinet minister to produce a departmental plan for Brexit. Today the Environment Secretary reveals what Brexit means for farming: a bonfire of cumbersome regulations that currently cost the industry million of pounds a year. When we leave the EU Andrea will end the ‘three crop rule’ regulating how many different crops farms must plant – Defra say this will allow 40,000 farmers to grow the foods people want and add millions to the economy. Barmy Brussels diktats defining what makes a hedge a hedge or when a puddle becomes a pond will be binned. Paperwork required from flood-hit farmers will be reduced, as will the number of expensive government inspections. Most satisfying of all: farms will no longer have to pay for and display ridiculous 6ft by 4ft propaganda billboards publicising the EU contribution for grants, as they are currently required to do. Millions saved, millions added to the economy, hundreds of thousands of hours saved. As the old joke almost goes, how does the Environment Secretary compare with colleagues on Brexit? She’s outstanding in her field…

Interesting developments from Mrs Leadsom
