Didn’t think we’d had any until I walked past the Weighbridge, can’t have been more that a mill at best☹️, didn’t even damp the dust!

How are crops faring in East Yorks?

Suffering now as you drive around we had a mm in the last month. My barley is 50% germinated. It’s not really the dry but the wet before it that’s giving everything a headache.

There are some very good crops around don’t get me wrong but there is some crap, and I put most of mine in the crap category. It’s just gone one way to the other and the temp and frosts are really hurting

Talking to my agronomist the other day and he said a lot very similar

15mm in the last 24 hours. My crops will make good use of that thank you ??

@Steevo what did I send you in the end?

To be honest I'm not entirely sure - meant to empty the rain gauge yesterday but was so busy running around I totally forgot.

Either way, the yard and tracks were covered in puddles this morning so plenty enough for the crops.

It's still drizzling now in fact - just come in from spreading the last of the Ammonium Sulphate - decided that the rain was keeping up so the spring barley had a dose too.
