Read a couple of articles about ivermectin and not just associated with covid. Seems to be offer a lot more utility than that.
What are the other drugs used with it,and conc. levels etc ?. Injected or tablet form? Could it be that the major pharma arent bothering because its too cheap,so no big money for them?

Very interesting. I had heard months ago that Monash was hoping to start trial on Ivermectin as a way of killing Covid-19 but hadn't heard about the possible preventative use of it. Could be a real game changer if some of the scientists would get off their hands and produce some decent replicable data..

Tablet form I am assuming.

CDC notes on the risks of taking Veterinary Ivermectin.

"Some of the side-effects that may be associated with ivermectin include skin rash, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, facial or limb swelling, neurologic adverse events (dizziness, seizures, confusion), sudden drop in blood pressure, severe skin rash potentially requiring hospitalization and liver injury (hepatitis). Laboratory test abnormalities include decrease in white cell count and elevated liver tests. Any use of ivermectin for the prevention or treatment of COVID-19 should be avoided as its benefits and safety for these purposes have not been established."

What is the difference between vet ivermectin for animals and that used for covid in humans other than the dosage? Seems to be conflicting evidence here.

Ivermectin has only ever demonstrated efficacy on viruses in vitro. Ivermectin apparently is used in human medicine, in tablet form, for a couple of parasites, I think round worm type things.

Apparently there are a lot of drugs that have shown to stop viruses cold in a laboratory when human cells are present but that's a world away from being an actual cure unfortunately.

As others have mentioned, putting drugs into a body puts a load on people's kidneys and liver as they have to absorb, metabolise and excrete a drug somehow, so it's no surprise a lot of these drugs have serious side effects.

Edit, the articles I have read stated that ivermectin worked by 'blocking' virus particles from entering their target cells.

He mentions using it in conjunction with doxycycline and zinc.

Zinc for the immune system I guess, it's long been suggested it can speed recovery from a cold...

Doxycycline is a broad-spectrum tetracycline-class antibiotic used in the treatment of infections caused by bacteria and certain parasites. It is used to treat bacterial pneumonia, acne, chlamydia infections, Lyme disease, cholera, typhus, and syphilis. It is also used to prevent malaria and in combination with quinine, to treat malaria

What does the Ivermectin bring....?
