all well and good in your hobby garden.

Scale it up to farm level, with several miles of hedges and your suggestion isn’t quite so sensible 🙄

A goat would get stuck in most of mine anyway, no room to crawl through let alone letting some recently purchased ivy eaters Roam free who would need checking daily, water etc.
Uh........ Scale it to a farm level, spend a little money on a good fence system, and make a little beef/mutton and have them pay u for the privilege of gobbling your ivy!đź‘Ťđź‘Ź

We have a couple of acres that used to be practically solid brush, (it had been field and the previous owner just let it grow up into a brushy forest, which is what happens when no mowers/ livestock occupy and area around here) so when we got the property we fought and fought the brush (with mowers and chainsaws but every year it came back, anyway we eventually got two cows and because of a lack of area to run them we ran them thru the brush and within a year or two the brush had almost completely vanished.

Think we are at different ends of the scale in both linear hedge and time availability!

You are very welcome to bring your cow and sheep here and graze the hedges though đź‘Ť
