izona drill

Surprised it’s not been mentioned on here yet unless I’ve missed it. From the Mzuri stable.

Wasn't it at Groundswell?

It looked rather like it was making the big tractor bark drilling flat ground it had already been through 20 times.

Be fun trying to tug it up a hill. The tank is basically a grain trailer really high off the ground!

I'm sure its jolly good though.

Given the team behind it, you know that it's going to be designed thoughtfully and well built. The modular design is interesting enough, with the ability to switch from strip till to direct seeding. Twin fan, pressurised tank. Aimed at farmers with very big tractors who might want an alternative to the usual 6-8m Rapids and such like that will allow them to venture into reduced cultivations and then switch back to a conventional tillage situation.

I know they were going up and down their plot at GW continuously but it kept a a bit of liveliness about the demo area when there were big gaps inbetween allocated demo times. Their stand had plenty to view and seemed to garner the most media attention in regards to machinery so a valid addition to the line up I would say.

I suspect that drill was developed, and another company set up, in case the patent infringement court case brought by "another" drill manufacturer went against them. Which of course it didn't.
