Anyone know where i can source suitable j bolts from, a lot of the modern ones have too long a hook on them so they don't sit tight against the concrete beam. Thanks

I was in a re roofed Atcost shed, the lad had fixed timber rails to the top of the purlins and screwed the sheets down using the normal screws.
Sounds cumbersome but the job was real tidy. He said that fixing the timbers to the purlin wasn't that big a job and a lot less aggro than getting the right hooks.

Thanks - any idea how he fixed the timber to the concrete?

I cant remember exactly but i think they were nailed to the top of the purlin with some sort of Hilti type nail gun that could nail to concrete. Do you get something like that?? I think thats what he said. Definetly not metal banded or cable tied.

Batons were like 40mm or 50mm square.
There was a mezzanine store and we were up ducking our heads under the roof, thats why i noticed it.

we have a couple of crendon sheds with a valley gutter that is starting to break up. Any of you have this issue? If so how did you go about fixing it would be a big job to completely replace!

Yes we have the same problem on our crendon. Not tried to fix it, had thought maybe galvanized tin bent to fit the gutter. Agree be a big job to fully replace.

We have a few broken sheets, and need to replace them, no one fancies going on the roof, is there anything that could be tightened up from inside. Hardly likely but thought I'd ask.

Did you fit it yourself?
Yes all of them myself one man. A couple of people would be easier though. Not that hard, and a warm day helps the stuff be more pliable.
Get a sample sent to you with the creases in the right places from measurements you send them then if its right it comes in a long roll. If its fibre cement or tin I take enough liner to sandwich between the sheets and purlin. You can do a foldover tucked in way if preferrred. Watch the installation videos on the website, there a few ways to fit to cover all types of gutter.
This is the last one I did just after cleaning last year

I personally would only consider replacing a gutter as a last resort nowadays after using that system.
