Jacking up a livestock shed

Not sure if it’s been covered here before. I have a 75ftx50ft shed built in the 80’s to house sheep. it’s too low at 8-9ft to the eaves and thinking of extending the stanchions up to 13-14ft to the eaves and converting it to hold cattle. Can this be done without having to strip the whole shed down?

idea is to combine both sheds that are side by side together so in a way it will be 75ft wide by 100ft long (both sheds are 50ft wide each at the mo)
Any suggestions most welcome!

disconnect rafters and eves purling's and jack it up, weld extensions on to the columns, bolt roof back on
what the hell could go wrong ?
The rafters will spread under the weight if you start cutting it about , the end plate is twice the depth of the rafter section and relies on the haunch to maintain roof pitch angle and transfer tension down to foundations

I am sure a builder from Cardigan lifted up the roof on a doctors surgery in Newport a few years ago, lifting it with a crane, maybe 8 or 9 years ago I think, on the Parog Road if I remember.

I think on some of the bigger sites they make a trussed roof on the ground and lift it onto the wall plates, mind you roof trusses are very different to a portal frame shed.
