Think it's goes for all the economy brands.
they've got their place and will do a job.
Don't expect them to last as well as a premium brand over the same acreage and be prepared for it to depreciate like a stone

They’re not great, go look at the JF ones painted yellow ( new Holland ) or Massey brand as they’re usually cheap as chips. Reliable machines

Are these Jarmet tedders the same as the Fleming ones, look very similar and same price
Only do @ 30ac a year 1st cut and @ 20ac second cut so not going to be overworked.
It`s basically a choice between a new Jarmet or a 10 year old premium brand

Don’t buy a galfre for gods sake, parts are extortionate and Fleming have even told me to sell the machine as the parts are stupidly dear. Buy a main brand machine if you need one, kuhn kv vicon JF, krone. @Dave W may have something.

Yes we did
Good as a rake
Not so good as a tedder, in heavy grass
Ok with hay, or lighter second cuts

Found the same with one og the dual Lely things.... sent it back as not fit for purpose!

However, the makers Rep was far from surprised at my findings as he offered a couple of minor tweaks and said essentially, "it is what it is"... Dealer was not happy!

Many hay tool products have known brands and less well known ones. Prices also vary between the cheapest and most expensive. Price is determined by design, relative component quality and finish plus after sales support. “You pays your money and takes your choice” as the old saying goes. Cheap or more expensive - there is a market for both.
