This is more a statement than anything else, save anyone else wasting time!
My 2140 locked it's linkage controls the other day, no fault code flashing, just couldn't unlock it.
After several hours checking switches connections etc tried to start it, it had a flat battery.
Turns out the EDC control unit for the linkage has a voltage sensor and locks if the alternator is bust and not charging.
There is a fault code for this but you can't unlock to read the code
New alternator on and linkage now working, what a splendid feature.
