JCB 3CX Sitemaster (Perkins 1004 4.410) coolant in engine oil

I have a 1992 JCB 3CX Sitemaster, Perkins 1004 4.41 engine.
Coolant is getting into the engine oil sump. I assumed head gasket, so changed it, although the old one didn't seem to be damaged.
Problem not fixed so, after some research, decided to take off oil cooler. some seals and gaskets were damaged, so I replaced them. At this point I must say that live in Belize and whilst MF tractors abound, and therefore parts for many Perkins engines are readily available, there are few JCB's and some parts difficult to get hold of. Therefore the gaskets for the oil cooler were made from gasket paper and seals replaced with non specific o rings.
Anyway, the problem still persists, There was some damage/corrosion to the cooler housing, but I am moderately sure that this is not where the coolant is getting in, although I will replace all gaskets and seals with purpose made ones ass soon as I can get them.
Any suggestions on what else the problem could be?
I read in this forum a post from 2015 of the same problem in a Manitou machine and the timing case seemed to be a common problem.
thanks in advance for any help...

Timing case or leaking water pump with a blocked external leak hole so it's not viable externally.

I have just remembered something.....
I was told by a very experienced fitter if I ever remove head , on refitting there is locking screw which must have threadlock when tightening or it
Work loose
But I can't remember where he told me the screw is

Thanks everyone for your comments. It seems to have been a combination of corroded timing cover and water pump.
Breather holes in pump were blocked, I wouldn't havecknown they were there! Changed pump bearings and seals.
So far so good!

New genuine pump are cheap why mess around with repair kit?‍♂️

As previously said, I live in Belize and parts are not always easily available... Or as cheap... Making the best of what you have or having parts fabricated is sometimes the only way. Having said that, I did come across 1 identical new pump at 1 place. If I had had the cash on me (credit cards not accepted), I would have got it.

Hello all,
I have similar issues maybe with jcb 525-58, bought recently and has water in the engine oil and was over heating. The over heating may have been due to the thermostat had been removed, I replaced and done oil and filter change. Filter was a pain to get off as so tight, any way fired up and ran well for 2hrs no over heating no smoking. After a while a little steam came from breather and dip stick which I put down to little water still in sump. Decided would monitor of next week. Day after started and only ran for 30 mins and lots of steam from breather still not over heating but water at cap had dropped by 1liter maybe. My thoughts were oil cooler or head gasket until reading this.
Any thoughts would be great
cheers
