JCB 525 / 527 mudguards

Anybody know someone breaking a JCB 527? Need mudguards etc as mine are full of holes. N reg machine.

rear cab side one is still available from JCB about £500 I think I ended up cutting the bent bits out were the light is and then welding new bits in.
Was a very time consuming job for a fussy customer that wanted it looking good! IMO he should have let me buy the new one as it would have been much easier.

Don't really want to buy new especially as will need all 3. She has spent some time close to the sea so their is welding required on cab as well, so whilst I can do the work it does get tiresome cutting welding grinding etc. Thanks for info though.

Could you cut off the old and fit the plastic on the axle? I suppose this would involve altering the lights to stalk. Perhaps scrap that idea.

I was thinking of something like that if I couldn't source decent second hand ones. Has anyone seen it done, how does it look?

actually there was one done just like that on ebay a while back! it looks very odd

I thought it might will try and hold off to a decent set of secondhand ones comes available. Plenty of other jobs to be done on her anyway.
