Any body know what's happening? steering modes only change when you switch engine off turn it to the mode you want and leave it for 10mins, turn it back on and hey presto , but sometimes back wheels will creep instead of staying straight?

Might want the sensors on the axles adjusting or one may be faulty.
you can quick test them if you clean them off there is a small LED light on them turn steering straight the sensors should line up with a peg on the track rod the LED should light up (ignition has to be on) if it does not light up sensor is either faulty or not close enough to the peg you can trick them with a screw driver or piece of metal to see if the light comes on.

If any of the steering ram seals have gone that could make steering go out of sink and then if bad enough would bugger the sensors about as axles wouldn't be in sink.

Also had the mode switches play up too.
crap over complicated system IMO, much better with a 3 position manual lever and a couple lights to say when axles are straight nothing to go wrong.

Ours goes funny when turning with trailer on rear, goes into slight crab on full lock. Think its ram seals leaking under load, any ideas. Dont do it when no trailer, makes intresting driving. Boss says its fine

I bought a 527-58 and the rear steering link had worn away at each end and was 3-4mm further away from the sensor than it should have been. Could have lowered the sensor but knocked the pins out and put a 20mm diameter washer under the steering link at each end. Bodged!
