Jcb 535, 530 hydraulic pump

I've got a 2004 535-60 farm special and the hydraulics are very slow compared to the 2005 530-70 super, the 535 doesn't seem to have the second pump to kick in at higher revs either like the 530-70.

Does anyone know if it's relatively straightforward to fit a pump the same as the 530-70 super has onto the 535 to gain similar performance? I've had a look on the jcb parts website for both machines but it's not very clear about the different pumps.

Thanks

If they dont have the same main spool block then no, need to consider what other problems the extra flow my cause getting back to tank.

and are the engines the same? can it power another pump at tick over with out stalling? Often a lot of subtle differences on the spec of a machine.

Thanks, yeah the subtle differences are what i was hoping to ascertain.

Engines i believe are 100hp vs 120, was hoping that would be ok as second pump would only kick in at higher revs but is a consideration, good shout on the valve block's- i know they are both flow sharing but i will need to investigate further for the exact specs.

Gut feeling has always been that this would probably be more trouble than it's worth but the slower speed niggles at times!

Well unless you have some kind of relief valve that closes at a around 1100rpm like some manitous do how do you figure the second pump is only going to kick in at higher rpm??? some manitous (Later MLT 627) have twin pumps, the valve dumps the oil below 1100rpm from the aux pump to tank so as not to stall the engine.

if your super had a piston type pump on it and the other one is a gear pump you wont be able to put a piston pump on a system designed for a gear pump as they are totally different.
