JCB 535-95 Help!!

Could be steering ram seals if electrics are ok?

Had this prob on 530-70. Was possible to square up the steering by tricking it to think the back wheels were in line by placing a washer on the sensor then switching between modes until straight. Kept it going a wee while but if the seals are away it gives up pretty quick

try lifting front wheels up off ground and see if they travel as normal with no weight on them
I can now switch between modes which I couldn’t last night but it won’t lock into next mode. I’ve tried realigning wheels as per to get it to lock and it won’t do it. I’ve tried putting a pen knife over axle sensors to trick it into locking into next mode but it won’t have that either. It could be seals but it was steering on front axle ok last night when it took the gee

There is a sensor on back of boom which is boom angle sensor
There is also a chassis angle sensor on chassis near back of boom.
These if swapped must be swapped as both grey or bot LG black, cannot mix them.
If changed boom angle will need recalibrating.

the sensor on rear axle is strain gauge for the safe load cut out.

there is a steer mode sensor on both axles, senses the washer on steer ram.

All these work on 5 volt system from hyd ECU.

to check errors, use info switch and select doctors bag in dash, check what faults are active.

likely be a dealer set up with laptop to diagnose.
These can be a real b*tch

Ok thanks. So could I swap the 2 angle sensors or is there no point?
I think if I’ve got it right they aren’t compatible by the sound of it?

The 2 angle sensors are the same part number, but need calibration when disturbed.

can you see if there are any live errors in the error log in dash - doctors bag?
